Casafina Dinnerware
You may often think of these guys as a soap dishes and other bathroom accessories company but in fact they also make a very nice line of casafina dinnerware and that is exactly what I would like to discuss with you today on this very website. I'm going to take a few minutes to describe some of my favorite pieces in their various collections that I'm sure you'll enjoy just as much as I do.
While it is true that you can find these in different sets, it's much easier to pick them up piece at a time here and there and while I'll discuss a couple of popular sets for the most part I will focus on separate pieces for you today.
Casafina Alentejo Flowers - Buffet Plate, Blue this set cost $72 and is very festive looking. It comes with a buffet plate, a dinner plate, salad plate, hors d'oeuvres plates, a covered casserole plate, and a soup or cereal bowl. The colors of this set are vibrant and floral in design and puts me immediately in mind of Mexico for some reason. Vibrant blues deep oranges and reds spring out making this a very unique set that's fun as well as functional.
Casafina Madeira Harvest Fruit Small Fruit Bowl Vanilla Creme Color this is a very unique bowl but cost around $11 and is vanilla cream in color and heavy in your hand making it feel substantial and very nice. It is a 6" x 2" fruit bowl that may be cold smoked salmon in color though I like to think of it as more vanilla. It is dishwasher and microwave safe and also oven and freezer safe as well! The Casafina ceramics are handmade as well as hand-painted and they meet the standards established by the FDA regarding lead and cadmium content making them more than safe for your family use.
Casafina Madeira Harvest Coffee Mug Vanilla Creme Color this is a very interesting coffee cup of roughly the same color as the bowl I just mentioned above. It has a floral design on the side with a raised Apple as well as a pair and also some grapes. The raised design is sort of embossed and it is subtle yet you can still see it with a slight brushing of red color that is barely evident. It is 3 3/4 inches and dishwasher, microwave, freezer, and oven safe which is important in a coffee cup! This cup is handmade and hand painted and weighs about 6 pounds shipped.
Casafina Stoneware their stoneware collection is quite stunning to look at and is made from the finest Ironstone resources from Portugal. It's a very dense stoneware that's fired at around 2000 degrees F which is pretty much standard really. It's particularly heavy for its weight and usually has fewer internal air bubbles and what that does for the most part is make it a little bit more chip resistant than other dishes that you'll get at a regular department store. What this collection really does is add color to your table as well as style and elegance at the same time making it really a unique piece of dinnerware that you will use for years and years to come.
Casafina dinnerware may be a little bit harder to find but that's only because it is handmade each piece and therefore there really just isn't a whole of it to go around and whenever you do find some be sure to grab as much you can afford because you're never quite sure when the next opportunity will come along to pick up some of these unique and masterful dinner pieces.
