Denby Dinnerware
Denby dinnerware is a particularly interesting brand for a number of reasons that I am going to talk about today. Finding the right dishes for your table is a very important part of everyone's personality and household.
Today I'm going to discuss several different types of Denby dishes to give you a solid understanding of what you can expect through this line and also the different prices you can expect to find. Believe it or not these dishes are slightly more expensive than you may have to pay for other brands but I think you'll agree that the quality shines through making them well worth the effort and extra money.
Denby Jet Stripes 4-Piece Place Setting, Service for 1 at $121 this is an extremely expensive set for only one person but is incredibly beautiful and could very well be worth the cost. It includes a 10 1/2 inch dinner plate, a 9 inch dessert/salad plate, a 6 inch soup or cereal bowl, and a 14 ounce large mug. It's made of vitrified stoneware construction with hand applied glaze and its design can only be called black gray blue and green vertical stripes that border a white plate center. It is dishwasher, microwave, oven, and freezer safe with some precautions and made in England at Derbyshire.
Denby Regency Green 4-Piece Place Setting at $103 this is also a very expensive setting for only one person. Constructed out of stoneware, each piece of pottery in this set is painstakingly glazed by a very skilled craftsmen and that quality comes through, you can believe it. It is strong and durable as well as chip resistant and dishwasher, microwave and oven and freezer safe. I would describe this set as a sort of off green earthy looking set.
Denby Fire Sage 4-Piece Place Setting, Service for 1 at $112 this is again a very expensive set for only one person. It includes an 11 inch dinner plate, a 10 inch salad plate, a 6 inch bowl, and a 14 ounce curved style mug. All pieces are made out of vitrified stoneware with hand applied sage green glaze on the plate centers and bowl and mug exteriors. It has fire red glaze that borders the trim of every piece. This is a particularly beautiful set and the mug is sort of squat and round looking.
Denby White 4-Piece Place Setting at $90 for a one-person setting I thought that I would throw in a cheaper model of basic white dishes so that you can compare and contrast against the more expensive ones. Of course $90 is still fairly expensive for a one-person place setting but relatively speaking it is quite a bit cheaper. The set is made of porcelain which is both practical and durable and really sort of has a similar strength to most stoneware. It is dishwasher, microwave, oven, and freezer safe so that you have nothing to worry about on that count.
Denby dinnerware can be more expensive than many other types of dishes on the market today but for the price you're really getting a quality that other dishes fail to match in many areas making these dishes a decent investment that will keep paying dividends for many years of dining enjoyment for you and your family.
