Melamine Dinnerware Sets
I like melamine dinnerware sets because they are fun and casual but seem to have a touch of elegance and sophistication at the same time that you don't really get with other types of dishes out there today. There's just a certain feel that goes with these dishes and if you've ever used them you just know what I mean (which is probably why you are here today!).
I'm going to discuss several of my favorite melamine sets with you today so that you will have a good understanding of the range of options that you have when it comes to these types of dishes. I'll spend a good amount of time on price so that you know exactly what to expect in that department too.
Melamine 12-pc. Dinnerware Set - Black at around $25 this is a nice set from and Inno-Art Corp. Inc. It contains square dinner plates, square salad plates, and square bowls. One thing about these plates is that they are not for use in microwaves but they are dishwasher safe. The dinner plate dimensions are 10 1/2 inches in diameter and the salad/dessert plate dimensions are 8.5 inches in diameter and the bowl dimensions are 6.25 inches in diameter. And of course these are completely black with no real designs embedded in the bowls or dishes. This is a very nice set that is incredibly durable yet lightweight which allows you to use them in a wide variety of ways from casual to slightly more than casual.
Rimmed Melamine Dinnerware Set of 12 - Brown at $32 this is a very fun set that looks quite sophisticated for all its fun. It includes square bowls, square salad plates, and square dinner plates. While they are dishwasher safe on the top rack only, they are not microwave-safe so please keep that in mind. The colors are sort of brown along the rims and sides bordered on the inside with a sort of rusty orange colored band with white on the inside of the plates as well is the inside of the bowls.
Melamine 12-pc. Dinnerware Set - Red at $25 this set is nearly identical or completely identical to the first set I mentioned accepted they are red and not black. When I say red I mean bright cherry red with a gleam that is almost reflective. They are dishwasher safe though you really just might want to think about hand washing them. You can probably get away without doing that but I would think that it's better safe than sorry and really why take a chance... but on the other hand, at only $25 you might as well stick them in the dishwasher and if they get ruined over time you can always run out and buy another set for only 25 bucks!
Melamine 12-pc. Dinnerware Set - White at around $28 this is a slightly different type of set from the other ones that I've discussed and which are the norm. By Tar Hong, this set includes salad plates, bowls, and dinner plates and is stackable in design. Like the others it is not for use in microwaves but should be safe for your dishwasher. The trim is textured and break resistant and the dinner plate dimensions are 11 inches by diameter, the salad plate dimensions are 8.5 inches in diameter, and the bowl dimensions are 6.25 inches in diameter.
As you can see when it comes to melamine dinnerware sets you have many different options and not just the square classic design that you have come to expect but also a regular round dishes as well. One thing is absolutely for sure though, and that is for the price, which is exceedingly low, you would be hard-pressed to find a better deal anywhere else.
