Porcelain Dinnerware Sets

Welcome to our Porcelain Dinnerware Sets section where you can find everything you need to learn everything there is to know about porcelain dinnerware sets, including how to find the best quality and where to get the best deals. Porcelain is one of the white varieties of stoneware and can be both brittle or translucent. The mood of any meal you serve is often determined in large part by the way you set your table. Porcelain dinnerware sets are great for many, if not most situations from casual to formal dining and everything in between.

Many experts recommend that you have enough dinnerware available to serve between eight to twelve people at a time. You might not always need this many, but really, wouldn't you rather have more than you need? It's much better to have too much than it is to not have enough, or to have to supplement your dinnerware with paper plates to accommodate extra people!

How To Care For Your Porcelain Dinnerware Sets: Before we go any further, I want to very quickly discuss how to care for your porcelain. This stuff may be very pretty, but it's also very fragile. It is fragile because of the firing process used to create it. Some porcelain is dishwasher safe and quite durable. But most is not. Special care must be used when cleaning and storing them.

First and foremost, never place your porcelain dinnerware sets in the dishwasher unless they have specifically been stated as dishwasher safe. To wash them, take a large plastic container and put it in the sink, then fill it with mildly warm soapy water. I highly recommend you only place one object in the container at a time to wash, so that the dishes don't clank together and get chipped. You should use a non-abrasive towel to watch, no green scrubbies here! After you have cleaned the dish, rinse it off with mild to cold running water, then place it in a draining container to air dry after you have hand dried it with a soft dish towel of some sort. Other than that, don't let the dishes pile up in your kitchen with food still on them, as some food (left sitting on your plates for long) can actually stain the dish permanently. Finally, when storing the dishes, put something between each plate like a paper towel or small foam sheet to cushion them and prevent chipping.

How to find a deal on Porcelain Dinnerware Sets: If you're like me, you like to have many different dinnerware sets to fit many different occasions. That works out great, the only problem is (and it really IS a pretty big problem) it can get really expensive really quickly having lots of different sets. The solution obviously (apart from not buying many different sets) is to find deals. You can find deals at cheap bulk stores like wal-mart and k-mart and even better places like Target, but I like to look at department stores. I also tend to shy away from name brands as much as possible. Off-name or no name brands can look just as nice, and can last just as long as their brand name counterparts but often cost much much less, even without a sale. Then when there IS a sale, the prices on these often drop even further.

And for the best deals I suggest you check out our website for great internet deals. Trust me, you'll be glad you did!
